Meet Our Pastor

As a Christian, I stand firm on the fact that Jesus is the only Saviour and my only Saviour. As a pastor, my passion is to help people trust God. How? Through prayer, praise, and the preaching and teaching of the Bible. But what is a pastor? A pastor is a shepherd, a man who pastures the sheep. Yes, God calls His people sheep, but it's not an insult to us. Instead, it's a compliment to Him, because He's so much wiser than us and so capable of meeting our needs. God is the good Shepherd and I'm His assistant. My job is to lead and to feed His sheep - spiritually. Being both a sheep and a shepherd might seem awkward, but I love the life that God has given me to live.

Speaking of love, I've been married to my wife Angela since 2002. Since then, God has blessed us with two daughters and a son. I've been pastoring since 2004, and serving at Emmanuel Bible Church since April 2023. My main hobbies are playing, coaching, and watching sports, and performing and listening to music. Some of my other interests are board games, reading, maple syrup, Reese peanut butter cups, Nanaimo bars, and dad jokes. I've tried coffee, but it's not my cup of tea.
